Let's Catch Up!

Hello friends.

Yes, I know it's been a long time.  Forgive my absence, will you please? I beg you.

What's been going on in my world? Well, I'll tell you...

...I went through a minor crisis when my baby brother turned 16 and I made a ton of food for his surprise party.  Okay, so the food didn't have to do with the crisis.  Just his age.

...Speaking of age, I had a birthday.  Big old 3-1! Ate some of the best sushi of my life that night, and am obsessed with it.  Seriously, who would have thought to pair spicy yellowtail and banana?? To.  Die.  For.  I may or may not have made a spectacle of myself that night.

...We went back to Disney World in mid-September.  It was awesome as usual, and while we've been talking about taking a trip to Italy...we can't stop kicking around the idea of going back AGAIN to WDW.  It's a sad, sad situation.

...My uncle who had not been for a visit in 26 years actually came and stayed with my parents for a few days last month, and we had them all over for dinner right after getting back from vacation.  It was great to see my mom looking so happy to see her big brother

...And then, as if it wasn't bad enough that my brother is getting older, my sister went and turned 20.  And my gray hair threw a big old jamboree in celebration.  Nothing like watching other people getting older to remind you that your mother was your age when you were 9, and you thought she was so old.  Siiiiiiiiigh....

...We're currently in the process of decorating the dining room (which used to be the exercise room) since we're hosting both Thanksgiving and Christmas this year! EEK! So much fun! I can't wait, and I can't wait to share it with you!

I've missed all of you and hope to catch up with my friends as soon as possible!

Oh, and HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I've eaten way too much candy this week - there's something to be said for buying it the day of, even if there's not much left to choose from.  It's better than being faced with temptation all week long!
